Jewella Sookrit
Founder
Jewella is the heart and soul of Jewel Events! Jewella holds a degree in Criminology, has a background in project management and became a certified 'Wedding Consultant and Coordinator' and 'Destination Wedding Coordinator' through the Wedding Planning Institute of Canada in January 2011. Jewella's love and passion for event planning started long before her professional training in this field. She started planning events at a young age and carries 15+ years of diverse experience in the hospitality industry. It is her passion for helping making people's dreams and visions come true, which led her to establish Jewel Events. When she's not busy leading the team to success, you can catch Jewella exploring new countries or by the beach on a sunny island oasis.
Puja Bagri, Ph.D
Planner & Coordinator
Puja has been involved with Jewel Events since it’s conception; providing support whenever and wherever it’s needed! Although her professional background in science and research might seem far removed from the hustle and bustle of event planning, when you think about it, it’s actually the perfect match because what you get is an organized, thoughtful and detail-oriented coordinator. No matter the task at hand, Puja will always go above and beyond; whether it be helping plan your next event or cheering on Toronto sports teams, she always gives it nothing less than a hunnit. In her spare time, you can find her listening to true crime podcasts while exploring the outdoors, teaching kids about the magic of science, cooking up a storm in the kitchen, or jetting off to learn about new cultures and people.
Ashley Sadafal
Planner & Coordinator
Ashley has a degree in Sociology and currently works in Wealth Management. Her passion for Event Planning stems from her love of all things weddings and eagerness to help others any way she can. She will go above and beyond to ensure your day is everything you dreamed of and more, and will do it with a smile! She enjoys meeting new people from all walks of life and learning about their lives and experiences. Some of her hobbies include travelling, photography, baking, eating chicken nuggets and taking naps. Ashley is a true hopeless romantic. In her free time she loves watching Bollywood movies, particularly the 90's and early 2000's classics - her favourite is Kuch Kuch Hota Hai which she has watched at least 100 times!
Athena Narsingh, JD
Planner & Coordinator
Meet Athena! When she's not coordinating weddings, she runs a law practice in Toronto. Event planning has always been her passion. She loves meeting new people, and helping people navigate through one of the most beautiful days of their life. Likes: chocolate, pizza, chocolate, hakka food...did she mention chocolate? Spending time with friends and family and binge watching crime shows, but who doesn't? Dislikes: chicken on pizza and Mondays.
